Goose necks are usually a big hit when they’re handed out for the first time; there’s just something about the crackling like texture that has dogs hooked! These necks still have the bones in and they’re air dried; if you have a bigger dog they usually chomp right through them (a bit like chicken feet) and they really enjoy the texture. If you have a smaller, more polite dog, they tend to nibble all the good stuff off the edge and leave you a pile of little bones to collect! Either way… an outside job or an easily cleaned floor I’d say, not your nicest long haired rug!
Due to the little bones, this is one treat I’d suggest you don’t give to young pups who aren’t always the most sensible with their food.
I’ll pop your neck in a paper bag and protect in a cardboard box for delivery. Although I try super hard to make sure it lands with you in one piece, you’ll soon see they’re pretty delicate objects so I’m afraid I’m not always successful and you’ll get a neck of two parts.
